WHY Tell Your Story?

"The idea of telling my story is exciting.  I want my grandchildren to know who their Grandma Terri is.  Even though they have spent time with me, there is much they don't know.  The questions in this book will open doors to events and topics that I may have never shared.  After they read my book, it will be fun to answer questions that are stirred up in their minds!"

Here's a sample:

I met the first love of my life in the spring of my freshman year of college.  I was 19 and he was 21.  We were in an English class together.  We noticed each other, and I thought he was cute and very nice.

After class he started walking me all the way across campus to my next class.  Later, I found out that he was going the opposite direction of where he needed to go!  Finally, toward the end of the year, I invited him to a barbecue that my friends were having.  It wasn't a "date"; it was just a get-together with friends.  He fit right in!  From then on, we were dating.

The semester ended shortly after that, and we stayed in touch over the summer.  Dennis had to go home to his parents' home.  This was the first time I had ever had a boyfriend, and I loved it!  He fell in love quickly and told me so.  I wasn't willing to say, "I love you," until I was 100% sure.  To me, "I love you" meant "I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

I came to that point by December - six months after we met!

Now it's YOUR turn... what's YOUR love story?
